As summer approaches, it's the perfect time to spend quality moments with friends and family. Were here to share some awesome adventures that are perfect for those hot sunny days, or cool summer nights that are sure to bring plenty of good times. Santa Monica Pier
Santa Monica Pier is the main attraction at Santa Monica Beach. This pier is set-up with a Ferris wheel, aquarium, fairground games and cotton candy stands. The pier is perfect for families, friends, or even for that first special date. On the boardwalk you can find a number of outdoor film and music events. Head out to Santa Monica Pier on a Thursday night to get a free show from bands on the beach during their Twilight Concert series. Make sure you arrive early to get a perfect spot on the sand and get an awesome view of the waves and sunset, for an unforgettable LA experience!

Now it isn't summer without a little shopping and The Grove is the perfect place to do it!
The Grove offers a unique, outdoor shopping experience with the hottest fashions, gadgets, beauty products, and house decor. Here you will also find exquisite dining ranging from family style settings to a more romantic bistro ambiance. And with a theater playing all the latest movies, planning a shopping, dinner and movie day has never been easier!

Eaton Canyon Falls Trail
If you're one for avoiding large crowds then you're gonna love this! Eaton Canyon is located in the Pasadena area park and is one of the most accessible and easygoing trails around. This waterfall hike is located in a forest area and will only take you about an hour, so you'll still have time to do other things throughout your day. Plan to head over on a weekday to avoid the crowds and be able to park just over a mile from the waterfall!

Butterfly Pavillion at The Natural History Museum
If you still want to get in touch with your nature loving self, then spend a day at the NHM's Butterfly Pavilion, which will be open until September 7, 2015 with more than 30 butterfly and moth species and many assorted California plants. You can experience bufferlies take flight and land on your arms or shoulders! Plan on arriving between 10-11am as this is the most active time for these little critters and don't forget your college I.D. for a student discount!
