Fashion Snoops Presents: Women’s Global Trend Stories + Key Colors for S/S 17

      As AMM student attending MAGIC this quarter, we had the opportunity to attend some very interesting and educational fashion-related seminars and workshops. Our class in particular got to attend the annual Fashion Snoops Trend seminar. This seminar is hosted every year at MAGIC by Fashion snoops and talks about the future of fashion. This years seminar was conducted by Fashion Snoops Creative Director Melissa Moylan, and presented the global trend stories for s/s 17. The presentation consisted of acclaimed “mood” movies to help set the tone of each fashion story and theme, along with pictures and color pallets.  During this presentation Melissa highlighted key apparel items, accessories, patterns, materials, details, and the Pantone color card for MAGIC. Some of these stories consisted of Maritine, which is a minimalistic casual look; Cuba, which includes bright and vivid colors with a big Spanish influence, and Victorian Feel; which consists of more romantic styles with pastel colors. The pantone color card for MAGIC was Spicy Mustard and also included other colors such as Aurora Red, Bodacious, and Warm Taupe.
