Come Visit Our ApparelScapes Venues!

Founded in 2001, ApparelScapes is a retail micro-business run by AMM Retail seniors.  ApparelScapes truly embodies Cal Poly’s educational objective of “learn by doing” , by providing AMM students with hands on experience of how to run a retail venue. ApparelScapes has grown to include the Building 45 Boutique, Off the Farm, Pop- Up, and this year the Ecommerce site and Clothes Closet. Still curious about what each venue is about? Well, we asked the managers to give us some details about what is going on in each of or venues, check it out!  

Building 45 Boutique

Taking a break from class? Need a coffee to make it through midterms? Want a Cal Poly or AMM logo shirt? Then come check out the newly revamped Building 45 Boutique to get all you school and fashion needs!  The Building 45 Boutique targets AMM students, and has recently been marketing to main campus students as well. This quarter the Boutique team has given our little store a total makeover, including a Free People, festival inspired tent, with lanterns, guitars, and even a fake campfire! Some of the new things they have planned this quarter is bringing in fashion forward styles that every girl can wear. Not only that, the team is focusing on bringing in consignment items from AMM students and local business like TKFK, 80s Purple, and Fait Par Adeline. Come check out all the Building 45 Boutique has to offer!

Off the Farm 

Off The Farm is focused on selling scrubs and other goods to students in the College of Agriculture. Here students can find scrubs, hoodies, t-shirts, tanks, and more! This quarter their main goal is to become established among the students at Building 2, and ensuring that they get all their school needs there. Stop by our Off the Farm boutique located in Building 2 (Cowboy Center) and check out all they have to offer!

Pop-Up 

Pop-Up Shop is our ApparelScapes venue that is always on the move... literally! You can find pop up at school events like the Horse Show and Pumpkin festivals and even on main campus during  U-hour. The goal of the Pop-Up Shop is to bring fun, fashionable, and affordable pieces to students attending special events. This moving venue helps to promote awareness of ApparelScapes and their shop by utilizing social media and word of mouth. If you are going to be attending the Strawberry festival on Saturday, May 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. make sure to stop by and say hello and grab some goodies! 

Clothes Closet 

Ever have a job interview and when you look in your closet you think "I have nothing to wear!" If that is the case Clothes Closet is for you. The Close Closet is a service that provides professional clothing, shoes and accessories for students who are in need of an appropriate outfit for an interview or their first day on the job. The Cal Poly Career Center provides this service at no cost to Cal Poly students. Students are allowed to pick up to four items from our assortment of merchandise every quarter. We have suits, dresses, ties, purses and much more merchandise available to student all school year. This quarter the team is working on renovating their current space to make Clothes Closet more inviting and accessible to students. Clothes Closet is constantly seeking donations of any professional clothing. The Clothes Closet team has set up a donation box in the AMM building, so please bring in your donations! The Clothes Closet team is also looking for model for the Career Success Fashion show held on May 13th, so make sure to check it out!
