Strawberry Festival at Cal Poly Pomona

This past Saturday, May 7, 2016, strawberries, tractors, and classic cars filled the fields by the Farm Store for Cal Poly's the 10th Annual Strawberry Festival, and it was a success! There was something for everyone to enjoy at this event. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, as families, young and old, were seen bustling around the fields picking strawberries, onions, leeks, beets, kale, and other Cal Poly grown produce to take home with them.

The classic car show provided a trip down memory lane for many, and featured hot rods, American muscle cars, and even some foreign beauties.

To show visitors of Cal Poly our deep roots in agriculture, antique tractors were displayed and running, and gave onlookers a taste of how farming was back in the day.

For the little ones, a petting zoo was the perfect place to see all kinds of animals, from goats, to llamas, even miniature horses! And we can't forget about some fun for mom! The ApparelScapes Pop-Up shop was bustling with excited shoppers looking for fashion and Cal Poly apparel alike. The students running the shop were working hard to tell all passerby about our new merchandise, and any shoppers exactly what ApparelScapes and AMM is all about. The Strawberry Festival was a great opportunity for ApparelScapes to interact with the College of Agriculture, as well as customers that wouldn't normally have the chance to shop with us.  All in all it was a wonderful event to attend, and don't fret, if you weren't able to make it there is always next year!
